Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how powerful marketing really is—and how a strong brand can shape our decisions more than we realize.

Take the movie Sinners (highly recommend, by the way). I walked in not knowing a thing about the plot, but I showed up because of one name: Ryan Coogler. His reputation—and the buzzworthy marketing—had already convinced me it was worth watching.

Then I stumbled on another example: Chinese manufacturers posting TikToks showing how they produce luxury items for a fraction of what we pay. The difference? Branding. These luxury companies have built such strong brand identities that we willingly pay 10x more for the same product.

All this to say—branding matters. Marketing matters. And when done right, it drives results.
